Four Indian Cricketers make it in the top ten ‘most-read about’ cricket players, according to a Taboola survey. Captain of the Indian Cricket team and Royal Challengers Bangalore Virat Kolhi has emerged as the ‘most-read about’ player with over 100 million readers opting to read about him, reports Mint.
The study, ‘Cricket Players Reader Engagement’ captures the readers’ choices of player preference, the time they engage in reading about them and the monthly reading patterns for 12 months between March 2018 and February 2019 on the open web. The survey includes 450 million readers, 1,90,000 articles, four billion page views and 3.3 billion minutes of reading.
Rising star Rishabh Pant follows Kohli with 12 million readers to emerge as the second most read-about player on the web. The rest three spots are taken up by West Indies batsman Chris Gayle (5.5 million), Afghani bowler Rashid Khan (5.4 million) and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson (4.8 million).
Former South African batsman Ab De Villiers (4.5 million), New Zealand and Australian pacers Trent Boult (2.3 million) and Andrew Tye (0.5 million) along with Indian bowler Jaspreet Bumrah (85,000) and Siddarth Kaul (5,000) make it to the list.
