Gautam Gambhir on Saturday morning (4 May) tweeted that India is still providing medical visas to Pakistanis and that he would personally take cricketer Shahid Afridi to a psychiatrist.
This statement by Gambhir is said to be a direct reaction to Shahid Afridi’s comments against the cricketer turned BJP leader in his autobiography.
In the autobiography, Afridi wrote that Gambhir has no great records to his name, no personality and barely has a character.
These comments from Afridi came despite the fact that Gambhir has an ODI average of 40 as compared to Afridi’s 24. Gambhir has scored over 10,000 runs all formats while the Pakistani cricketer only has around 8,000 runs.
Earlier, Afridi had also revealed that he in reality is five years older than previously believed hence the Pakistani all-rounder was 21 and not 16 years when he broke records with his 37-ball century against Sri Lanka in Nairobi in 1996.
