Tamil Nadu coronavirus cases rise.
A person from Tami Nadu who attended the Nizamabad Banglewali Markaz Congregation in Delhi - the main vector of Coronavirus (Covid-19) In India - during mid-March asked the State Health Department officials to check Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the pandemic virus than pestering him.
Health Department officials had gone to his residence on coming to know that he attended the Nizamabad Aalami Mashwara that was held at the Banglewali Markaz from where hundreds of those who attended the event have been infected with Covid-19.
In a video put out on social media, the person, who appears to be in his sixties, also asks the Health Department officials to check Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam (OPS).
“Go check Modi. He has travelled to 152 countries. You go and check EPS and OPS, too, instead of coming here and pestering me saying Coronavirus,” the person can be seen telling the officials.is not clear yet if he has agreed to undergo screening for Covid-19.
On the other hand, the Tamil Nadu government is also hampered in its efforts to combat the pandemic virus by those who attended the Markaz event switching off their mobile phones.
State Health Secretary Beela Rajesh said Intelligence wing police have now been requested to trace them.
Tamil Nadu accounts for 121 of the 1,718 Coronavirus cases as at 1200 hours today (1 April). It also accounts for one of the 52 deaths in the country.
Of the 121 Covid-19 positive cases, at least 95 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. Barring a few infected from abroad, over 110 persons have been infected after travelling to Delhi for the Nizamuddin Banglewali Markaz congregation.
