H D Kumaraswamy’s Son Nikhil Of Yellidiyappa Fame Becomes Youth Wing President Of JD(S)

In a fresh turn of events, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son has been appointed as Youth Wing President of Janata Dal (Secular). Apart from this, H K Kumaraswamy is the newly elected president and Madhu Bangarappa is the working president of the party. The information was given by H D Deve Gowda to the journalists, reports ANI.
Deve Gowda further added that there was no need of multiple working presidents and only Madhu Bangarappa will hold the post.
“Former state president of the party A H Vishwanath resigned after my loss in Lok Sabha elections from Tumakuru. Now I have named five-time MLA & former minister H K Kumaraswamy as the new state president of the party,” he said.
The new youth wing president Nikhil Kumaraswamy, grandson of Deve Gowda, had contested elections for the first time in 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Mandya constituency. The actor-turned-politician lost to Sumalatha Ambareesh, who was backed by Bharatiya Janata Party, by a margin of over 1.28 lakh votes.
While the resignation of Vishwanath is being seen as a result of the Lok Sabha poll debacle, many say that he was unhappy with the alliance with Congress party. “This is personal vindictiveness of Siddaramaiah, he is not good in politics. Roshan Baig was suspended by the party (Congress), Siddaramaiah would have done the same to me if I was in Congress,” he had said.
