In response to the global tender issued by Chief Minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar's Government in Haryana to procure COVID-19 vaccines, a Malta-based pharmaceutical company called Pharma Regulatory Services Limited has submitted an expression of interest (EoI) to supply 60 million doses of Russian Sputnik V vaccine, reports Indian Express.
It should be noted that the tender issued by the State Government had stated procurement of crore doses through it. Also, the EoI has been submitted by the said company after the due date. The deadline for the submission of expression of interest was on Friday (4 June).
As per Rajeev Arora, who is the State's Additional Chief Secretary (Health), the Government is carefully examining the EoI to see if it meets the criteria laid out in the tender document.
It should be noted that the EoI submitted by the Malta headquartered company has offered Sputnik V doses at a price of Rs 1,120 each. The company has also given a timeline of 30 days to supply the first batch of five lakh doses, after which it would keep supplying a million doses every 20 days till the supply is completed.
The State Government had issued the tender through the Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited.
