India Moves Additional Troops To LoC Following Beheading Of Two Soldiers By Pakistan Army
An Indian Army convoy in the Kashmir Valley.
Following the beheading of two Indian jawans by Pakistan Army, India has moved additional troops to the Kashmir Valley and is deploying them along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan, Times Now has reported.
This development comes soon after Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat visited frontier areas in North Kashmir and interacted with commanders and troops deployed along the LoC. Accompanied by local commanders, Rawat was briefed on the security situation on the border and measures to strengthen the security posture besides overall operational and logistical preparedness.
This visit came in aftermath of the atrocities faced by the Indian Armed Forces over the last six months, the most recent one being Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) mutilating the bodies of two Indian soldiers in Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district along the LoC.
The Army, in its statement, has vowed to give a befitting reply, saying that Pakistan will have to face the consequences of this act and the army will respond to the dastardly act at a time and place of its choice. Pakistan, however, denied India's charge and described itself as a highly professional force that never disrespects any soldier.
