Pakistan Navy’s attempt to seize two Indian fisher-boats was foiled by the Indian Coast Guard, reported The Hindu.
Rajratan, an Indian Coast Guard patrol vessel, was alerted after intercepting a VHF communication reporting that, “Pakistan warship chasing two fishing boats, reportedly operating in Pakistani waters.”
The Coast Guard vessel intercepted two Indian boats Mayshab Maa (GJ-10-MM-3480) and Safina Al Tahiri (GJ-10-MM-1761) which were registered at Okha in Gujarat. 19 fishermen were reported to be on board the two trawlers.
‘Basol’, a Pakistani maritime surveillance ship had apprehended another Indian boat, Khuda Dost Ka Karam with 11 fishermen on board, The Hindu quoted Coast Guard Officials saying.
“The Coast Guard is holding talks with Pakistan agencies for the release of this boat,” said a press release in Gujarat.
