India To Play All Emerging Nations Cup Matches In Sri Lanka As BCCI Refuses To Send The Team To Pakistan

After India rejected the SAARC meet in Pakistan, India’s Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has snubbed the country by not allowing Indian cricket team to visit Pakistan for the upcoming Emerging Nations Cup.
To be held in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Asian Emerging Nations Cup will see participation from six countries, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, UAE and Hong Kong. India has decided to play all its matches in Sri Lanka with the final being scheduled in Columbo, as per reports by Times Now.
The Karachi part of the tournament will have Hong Kong, Bangladesh and UAE grouped together while Sri Lanka, India, Afghanistan feature in the other group in Colombo. “A proper security plan has been prepared for the visiting teams, and they will be given top security throughout their stay in Karachi from December 4 to 10", quoted a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official.
it is the first time in a decade that Pakistan is hosting international cricket match in their country after the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Pakistan had to adopt the UAE as their home ground since 2009. The player security in Pakistan has been a important issue, as many international players, apart from Indian ones, have also denied going to Pakistan to play cricket.
