The skydiving team landing at Teressa Island
A joint team comprising of Indian Armed Forces undertook a para-drop operation at Teressa Island in Nicobar on 9 May.
The operation code named ex-bull strike was undertaken by a total of 149 Indian Army, 12 Indian Air Force and nine Indian Navy skydivers. This jump was carried out in a combat free fall and static line mode.
A video of the same was tweeted by the official account of the Indian Air Force.
In the video, the divers can be seen jumping out of IAF’s C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, to subsequently land on to the picturesque island surrounded by Emerald blue waters.
In December last year, Akashganga, the Indian Air Force’s team for skydiving had set a new milestone by jumping with twin flags that measure 30x20 feet.
In February, the Air Devil team of the IAF executed a stunning Parajump from an An-32 aircraft to celebrate the 43 Squadron of the Indian Air Force (IAF) station in Jorhat, completing sixty years of operations.
