The Indian Air Force (IAF) will be releasing its first official mobile game: ‘Indian Air Force: A Cut Above’, Zee News reports. The mobile game will enable players to get a first-hand experience of the role of an IAF air warrior and also can be used by players who want to apply and appear for the recruitment process in the IAF.

The game has several features like offline single player mission, online multiplayer and career navigator information section. The game also comes with the functionality of Augmented Reality (AR).

The single player mode is an engaging narrative where the players will have to fly various aircraft assets of the IAF to complete the missions. There will be a tutorial mission that will engage the player and teach him to handle the high-performance aircraft.

Once a mission is completed, players will earn their wings. In total, there will be 10 missions, each engaging high action and hence allowing the players to realise the power of the IAF in the form of its response, reach, precision and flexibility.

Further, through the game, users will learn about various tactics and weapons used by the IAF. It will also teach them how new acquisitions help shape the future strategy of the IAF.

The online multiplayer mode will enable users to play with other players on the internet. There will be two sub-modes, squad-versus-squad and the last man standing mode. Players will also be able to use long-range missiles and fight other players in a dogfight mode.

While the single-player missions may release in February 2019, the full version is set to release in June or July. Only players who pre-register will receive details regarding the launch of the game.
