The British government has frozen properties belonging to India’s most wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

The ‘Indian national’, who is the second richest criminal after Pablo Escobar, is said to own a hotel in Warwickshire, apart from other residential properties across the Midlands that are estimated to be worth $6.7 billion (Rs 43,550 crore), reports Birmingham Mail.

Heading ‘D Company’, a global crime empire that is said to span 16 countries across five continents, Ibrahim is reported to have rewards worth $25 million on offer for his capture.

According to the latest United Kingdom Treasury Department’s Consolidated List of Financial Sanctions Targets, Ibrahim has three recorded addresses in Pakistan. He has also been listed by United Nations as an associate and funder of Al Qaeda, while the United States Treasury Department declared him a global terrorist in 2013.
