Intelligence agencies are on high alert after receiving the inputs that three terrorists have infiltrated into India from Nepal and have reached Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir, conspiring to carry out big terror strikes in India, reports Zee News.

The report cited sources as saying that a terrorist named Sajid Mir recently brought three foreign terrorists to Bandipora from Kathmandu in Nepal.

Bandipora is considered to be one of the safest places in India for foreign terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad. Also, the infiltration marks significance given no infiltration had taken place from Nepal in 2017 and 2018.

According to the report, Bangladesh-based terror group Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) has trained a female suicide bomber and it is likely that she would target Buddhist Temples in Bangladesh, India and Myanmar. The suicide bomber has been reportedly trained to target Buddhist temples on May 18 during Buddh Purnima to take revenge for the alleged atrocities on Muslims by Buddhists.

It should be noted here that the Pakistan's intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) operated a very strong network in the border areas of Nepal and India but the network was dismantled in the recent years.

According to the report, the Intelligence agencies are treating these developments as symbols of the arrival of Islamic State (IS) in India and South East Asia, and the recent Easter Sunday terror bombings in Sri Lanka carried out by IS add merit to the theory.
