P Chidambaram and Karti Chidambaram.
Karti Chidambaram, son of former union minister P Chidambaram, has been sent an eviction notice by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) telling him to vacate his house at Jor Bagh, New Delhi, reports News18. The central agency had previously attached the said property in connection proceedings in the INX Media corruption case.
As per the notice, Karti Chidambaram has been "directed to vacate said premise and hand over the possession of the property (50 per cent attached by the ED and confirmed by authority vide order dated March 29) to the undersigned (ED) within 10 days from the date of receipt of this notice".
The property is under joint ownership of Karti Chidambaram and his mother, Nalini Chidambaram, and its attachment has taken place under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
INX Media was a company which was given the green light to receive overseas funds to the tune of Rs 305 crore in 2007, during P Chidambaram’s tenure as finance minister. Karti Chidambaram, who is currently out on bail, is accused of receiving a bribe from the company.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
