ISRO's PSLV-C49 To Launch EOS-01, Nine International Customer Satellites On 7 November

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will resume its rocket launch activity for this year on 7 November with its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C49 (PSLV C49) carrying an earth observation satellite for the country and other foreign payloads.
The PSLV C49 will lift off from the first launch pad at India's rocket port in Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota at about 3 pm on 7 November, carrying EOS-01 and other commercial satellites.
"India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle in its 51st mission (PSLV-C49), will launch EOS-01 as primary satellite along with nine international customer satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota," the ISRO said in a statement on Wednesday (28 October).
The launch is tentatively scheduled at 3.02 pm IST on 7 November, subject to weather conditions, it added.
EOS-01 is an earth observation satellite intended for applications in agriculture, forestry and disaster management support.
The customer satellites are being launched under commercial agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), Department of Space, it said.
However, it should be noted that due to the Covid-19 related restrictions, the launch viewing gallery of the rocket port will be closed during the launch.
