Nine other State districts that had already achieved the target under JJM include Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula Panipat and Rohtak. It should also be noted that six of the remaining ten districts have already achieved overt 98 per cent coverage and may achieve the target soon.
As per a statement issued by the Union Ministry for Jal Shakti, Goa, Telangana, Puducherry, and Andaman Nicobar Islands have achieved the 100 per cent target.
Also, since the launch of JJM on 15 August 2019, around 4.4 crore households have been provided with tap water connections.
