Dog Squad (Twitter)
Security forces in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Monday (17 August) gunned down two associates of the Pakistan-backed anti-India terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba's terrorist Sajjad Haider, reports Economic Times.
The killing of Haider's terror associates came just hours after terrorists had in a dastard attack killed two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and one J&K Police personnel in the Keeri area of Pattan in Northern Kashmir.
Following this, a dog squad was brought into service, which followed the blood trail of an injured terrorists who had left his haversack and pouch jacket. The dog squad hunted down the location where Haider and his associated were hiding. In the ensuing operation, while the forces have already eliminated the two associates, they are still engaged in an encounter with Haider.
It should be noted that as per the details shared by J&K Police's chief Dilbag Singh, Haider is the mastermind behind the killing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Wasim Bari on 8 July. Terrorists had brutally gunned down Bari along with his father and brother inside their shop.
