Two terrorists have been killed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday morning, reports Zee News.
The two were killed in an encounter carried out by 55 Rashtriya Riles of Indian Army and 130 Battalion of CRPF and J&K Police’s Special Operations Group in Panzgam village of Awantipora, Pulwama.
One of the terrorists gunned down, Showkat Ahmad Dar was a Hizbul Mujahideen commander. He is believed to have been involved in the killing of Army jawan Aurangzeb. Showkat was a resident of Panzgam in Pulwama district. The identity of the other terrorist is yet to be ascertained.
The house where terrorists were hiding was blown up and an AK-56 and ammunition are recovered from the encounter site.
At the same time, a separate encounter is also taking place between terrorists and joint forces in Dehruna village of Anantnag district also.
