J&K Police Arrests Eight LeT Terrorist Associates Involved In Threatening And Intimidation Of Locals In Sopore

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday (9 September) arrested eight Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist associates involved in threatening and intimidating locals. They were arrested by the J&K police from the Sopore district of south Kashmir, reports NDTV.
The arrest comes days after terrorists attacked house of a fruit trader in Sopore in which four people including a two-year-old girl were injured. The attack was seen as an attempt by terrorists to instill fear among the people and disrupt peace in the Valley.
According to the reports, the eight terrorist associates were arrested for publishing and circulating threatening posters in the locality on the behalf of LeT. They have been identified as Aijaz Mir, Omar Mir, Tawseef Najar, Imitiyaz Najar, Omar Akbar, Faizan Latief, Danish Habib, and Showkat Ahmad Mir.
The J&K police also recovered and seized computers and other accessories used for drafting and publishing of the posters, which were circulated on the instructions of three other LeT terrorists namely Sajad Mir alias Haidar and his other associate Muddasir Pandith and Asif Maqbool Bhat, ANI has reported.
