Security forces in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) killed three unidentified terrorists in the Reban area of Kashmir Valley's Shopian district, reports Times of India.
The security forces had embarked on a cordon and search operation in the area in South Kashmir after they received specific information about the presence of militants in the area this morning. During the operation, a gunfight broke out after the militants opened fire on the search party.
In the ensuing exchange of fire during the encounter, the security forces eliminated the three terrorists. It should be noted though that the security forces are still working to identify them and the terror outfit they were affiliated to.
Also, the operation is still continuing. The development about the killing of three terrorists has been made public by the J&K Police.
The development comes shortly after unknown terrorists had killed in cold blood a 25-years-old youth from Kashmir Valley's Baramulla district yesterday (6 June). The deceased, a driver by profession was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
