J&K: Three Terrorists Killed In An Encounter With Security Forces In Pulwama, One Jawan Martyred

The security forces have gunned down three terrorists in an encounter on Thursday (16 May) in Dalipura area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, ANI has reported.
A Jawan was also martyred in the encounter that started after security forces got information about the presence of terrorists in the Dalipur area. Following the tip-off, the security forces including Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the J&K police, started a cordon and search operation in the area.
“Identity of the slain militants was being ascertained. The operation is still going on,” police said, adding that two soldiers and a civilian were also injured, as reported by Hinudstan Times.
According to the report, despite authorities announcing a curfew-like restrictions in the area there were reports of clashes between stone pelting protesters and the security forces.
The Authorities, as a precautionary measure, have suspended mobile internet services in Pulwama. Internet speed has also been brought down in Srinagar city to prevent dissemination of inflammatory pictures and posts.
