Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday (23 August) that he has full faith in the Modi Government that it will take concrete steps to deal with the economic slowdown, reports India Today.

Making his stance clear, Kejriwal added that slowdown is one situation where the country has to stand as one and repair the economy. He further said, "Whatever steps the Centre will take to repair the economy, the Delhi government will give them full support. I am personally worried about the job losses."

Kejriwal also said that it is a matter of grave concern, particularly making a mention of auto sector, real estate, textile and others in which the slowdown has been reported to be worsening.

The remarks from the Delhi CM came after Union Minister for Finance Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday announced a slew of measures and reforms to pump up the economy and get it back to growing faster. SItharaman will be announcing another set of measures in two more sets, the first of which is set to be announced in the middle of next week.
