Delhi Chief Minister and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal on Monday (25 March) promised to build infrastructure equaling “ten Singapore” if the state was granted full statehood, reports News18.
Kejriwal, while addressing a public rally at Patparganj in east Delhi, asked for the support of people in the Lok Sabha elections to ensure full statehood for Delhi.
"We will build ten Singapore in Delhi. We will ensure that a flat is given to everyone who is staying in huts in Delhi," Kejriwal was quoted in the report as saying.
The Delhi Chief Minister, taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claimed when PM was unable to handle Pakistan, how could he be expected to take care of Delhi Police.
"Let us handle Delhi Police and you (PM) take care of Pakistan. You are not able to handle Pakistan, how can you be expected to handle Delhi Police?" he said.
As per the report, polling on the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi will be held on 12 May.
