Is the price of the continued Communist rule in Kerala lives of RSS workers?
The Kerala Police on Sunday detained eight people in connection with the killing of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.
The accused have been sent to police custody. The police forces have been instructed to strictly deal with any attempt to create violence and adequate force have been deployed in all sensitive spots, the state police chief said.
He also appealed to social media users to restrain themselves from spreading rumours and provocative messages, which would attract legal action.
Following the death of RSS worker, Rajesh Edavakode, the Bharatiya Janata Party called for a statewide strike today (Sunday), with its state president Kumanam Rajasekharan alleging that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI (M) was behind the attack.
On 11 July, an RSS office at Payyannur in Kannur was attacked allegedly by CPI (M) workers. (ANI)
