Kolkata Police’s special task force has nabbed one of the main suspects in Dhaka’s Gulshan café terror attack from Kolkata, West Bengal, reported India Today. The suspect, Idris Ali, was picked up from Burrabazar area of the city, thanks to a tip-off from Delhi's special cell.

Ali was reportedly operating in Kolkata with the help of a fake identity card and using the similarities in language and culture between West Bengal and Bangladesh to his advantage. However, communication between security agencies in Bangladesh and West Bengal police had covered the possibility that he would sneak in and hide in India.

In an attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan area of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in July last year, over 20 people, mostly foreigners, were killed. Since then the country’s security agencies have arrested eight militants from the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen-Bangladesh outfit and killed three in encounters on the basis of suspected involvement.
