Khalistanis Have Infiltrated Protests Against Farm Laws, Attorney General Tells SC, To Place IB Records Before Court

On Tuesday, during the hearing on farm laws by the Supreme Court, the Attorney General KK Venugopal said that Khalistanis have infiltrated the farmer protests, reports The Free Press Journal.
While hearing the petitions filed against the three farm reform laws, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) S A Bobde questioned that there is petition before them which says that there is a banned organisation helping the farmer protest.
“We have said that Khalistanis have infiltrated into the protests,” Attorney General KK Venugopal replied to the question by CJI.
“If there is infiltration by a banned organisation & somebody is making an allegation here before us, you have to confirm it. File an affidavit by tomorrow,” CJI Bobde ordered the Attorney General.
“We will file an affidavit in this regard and place the IB records,” the Attorney General replied.
Here it is noteworthy that pro-Khalistani and Bhindranwale imagery have become prominent features of the songs released to back the farmer protests.
Class superiority and anti-Hindu bigotry are another important facet in some of them.
While most songs take a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, some show contempt for his humble beginnings and mock his tea-selling days.
The Chief Justice of India S A Bobde led bench on Tuesday (12 January) suspended the Narendra Modi led central government's farm laws, until further orders.
The Supreme Court has also announced that it will constitute a four committee to hold talks between the protesting farmers and the government.
