In a move to create self-awareness against the spread of the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a comic book that provides illustrated information on the outbreak and how they can remain safe.

A few days back Amar Chitra Khata had announced that they will give free access for 30-days to all their Comic Archives.

The Kids, Vaayu & Corona' has been designed by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research and Panjab University, Chandigarh to bust myths and create awareness about the coronavirus.

The comics introduction states, "There is a growing concern and perceived threat about the coronavirus among common citizens. The population of all ages are making use of available media such as newspapers, social media, and television to make themselves aware. From adults to children, most of the discussions these days are centering around the coronavirus. But for children, especially those below the age of 12 years, coronavirus has become a cause of concern as they are not able to comprehend the talks and getting worried. The parents should talk to them and resolve their queries so that they do not panic."

The hero of this comic book is Vaayu who educates the children about the pandemic so they can 'fight' it.

India is on an informal lockdown and this is one of the best methods to spread awareness among children and adults.

Two parts of the comic has been released, which can accessed here.
