One of the top business management institutes in the country, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, has achieved 100 per cent placement for its 2017-19 batch, with the average package jumping by Rs 2.1 lakh to reach Rs 23.3 lakh this year, reports The Economic Times.
From the total batch of 216, 198 students opted for placements and managed to receive 210 offers. The students who did not appear for placements are those who’ve opted to pursue entrepreneurship independently.
The average salary offered to those in the top 100 of the batch rose to Rs 27 lakh per year, up by Rs 1 lakh from the year before. The average package for women at Rs 25.1 lakh per annum was higher than that for men.
About a fourth of the students will be taking up sales and marketing positions. The major recruitments in this year’s placement season were Nestle, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), ITC, Reckitt Benckiser and BMW. Major tech giants recruiting from the campus were Amazon, Paytm, Google and Microsoft.
