Jamat-e-Ulema Hind, a leading Islamic seminary, has held Congress responsible for the rising incidents of mob lynching across the country, reports Zee News.
While making these remarks, the national president of Jamat-e-Ulema-Hind, Moulana Suhaib Qasmi absolved the ruling BJP and its parent body RSS from the allegations of communal conflagrations.
''If a high-level investigation is conducted, it will be cleared,'' the top cleric said adding, "Congress party should be questioned for mob lynching cases reported during its rule."
The Congress party has been strongly accused of being deliberately inert during the incidents like that of anti-Sikh genocide of 1984, Nelli massacre, among many such incidents of violence.
The Uttar Pradesh Law Commission had recently submitted a detailed report to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, recommending life imprisonment along with huge penalty for those convicted in mob lynching cases.
