Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) looks almost set to clean sweep the state of Madhya Pradesh where the party is presently leading in 28 of the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies as the votes from the just culminated Lok Sabha elections are still being counted.
The only seat where the Congress party is leading is Chhindwara where the son of the incumbent Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Nakul Nath is leading against the BJP candidate Natansaha Kawreti.
This marks major significance as the Congress party had managed to win the state by a minor margin in the state assembly elections just months ago in December 2019. The 'Modi Wave' seems to have overcome the setback and come out much stronger.
