Maharashtra Government In Mega Recruitment Mode: Will Create ‘War Room’ To Fill Up 72,000 Vacant Posts In One Go

The Maharashtra Government has orchestrated a ‘war room’ in the state secretariat complex to complete the mass recruitment process as per the new reservations quota.
A bill which grants 16 per cent reservation to the Maratha community, which comprises 33 per cent of the Maharashtra population, was unanimously passed by both the houses of the state legislature.
It is reported that the government is likely to complete the procedure of mass recruitment of all 72,000 posts by February in one go, unlike the planned hiring of 36,000 jobs spread over two years.
"The idea is to fill the posts before the Bombay High Court stays the decision. It will help the ruling party get Maratha votes in the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls scheduled in 2019," said a government official, reports Times of India.
The vacant posts are offered in the Animal Husbandry, Water Conservation, Agriculture, Public Health, Home, Public Works Department, Water Resources, Urban Development and Fisheries Department.
