Grieving family and villagers pay last respects
Kishore Endrik One of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldier martyred on Saturday 3 April, was going to be a father after 19 years of marriage.
Kishore aged 38, was a resident of Cherpal gram panchayat in Bijapur.
He married Rinki in 2002. His wife is four months pregnant with their first child after 19 years of their marriage.
The last rites of Kishore were performed on Sunday (4 April), by his younger brother Hemant, also a CRPF soldier who was saved by Kishore in Saturday's naxal attack. A large number of people gathered to bid teary-eyed farewell to the martyr.
Kishore's nephew, Anand said: "My uncle had wanted to be a father for years. He found out his wife was pregnant only last year. Before he could become a father, he died." reports The Indian Express.
Kishore had saved three men and had got out of the line of fire when he found that his younger brother, Hemant, had not come out of the Maoist ambush. Part of a different team, Kishor, despite his injury, ran back to battle.
