Mission Isolate Pakistan: India To Give Evidence To FATF For Blacklisting Islamic Nation Over Pulwama Terror Attack

The Indian authorities are preparing a dossier containing evidence of Pakistan’s culpability in the Pulwama terror attack which martyred 38 CRPF jawans.
This dossier will be presented to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international terror funding watchdog with the objective of blacklisting Pakistan, Press Trust of India has reported.
The dossier would reportedly contain links of Pakistani agencies with the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) which has taken responsibility for the terror attack. It will also detail the funding being extended by Pakistan to JeM.
If blacklisted by FATF, it would mean that Pakistan is not-cooperating with the fight against terror funding. This blacklisting can result in a downgrading of Pakistan by agencies like the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, Asian Development Bank and the European Union.
It could also result in rating agencies like Moodys, S&P and Fitch downgrading Pakistan’s outlook.
Pakistan is already part of FATF’s grey list.
