Modi 2.0 Cabinet: Apart From ‘Kingmaker’ Amit Shah And ‘Kingslayer’ Smriti Irani, Here Are The Other Members

The suspense of who is going to hold what portfolio in NDA-2 is unravelling as in the past 24 hours, several meetings at prime minister Modi’s as well as Amit Shah’s residence have taken place, reports NDTV.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah has made calls to leaders who will be ministers in the new government. They have been invited to the PM's home at 5 pm, before the swearing-in. The list includes Sushma Swaraj, Nirmala Sitharaman, Smriti Irani, Sadananda Gowda, Arjun Meghwal, Kiren Rijiju, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Piyush Goyal, Prakash Javadekar, Ramdas Athavale, Jitender Singh, Suresh Angadi, Babul Supriyo, Kailash Chowdhury, Prahlad Joshi and G Kishan Reddy.

Amit Shah, who has led the BJP to landslide victories since his president-ship in 2014, is also among the probables to hold an important cabinet post. The ‘kingslayer’ Smriti Irani who defeated Rahul Gandhi in Congress bastion for decades, Amethi, is also expected to be rewarded with a big ministry.

While after capturing 303 seats, BJP Is fully capable of forming government on its own terms, the party is treating its allies well keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections. Harsimrat Kaur from Akali Dal, Arvind Sawant from Shiv Sena might have a berth in Modi 2.0 cabinet.

PM Modi’s new cabinet is also expected to have several first-timers.

Rattan Lal Kataria from Haryana, former Uttarakhand CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Nitish Kumar’s close aide RCP Singh, Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy, Karnataka MPs Suresh Angadi and Pralhad Joshi, A Ravindranath, Kailash Chowdhary from Rajasthan, Som Parkash, Rameshwar Teli from Assam, Kannauj MP Subrat Pathak who defeated Dimple Yadav, Deboshree Chaudhary from West Bengal might be the first timers in NDA 2.0.
