Four out of the 12 stations for the first Bullet Train corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad would feature themes symbolic to their city, the Rail Analysis India reports.
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) took to Twitter to make the announcement and reveal the theme of the Surat Railway station on the high-speed rail.
“Each and every station of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor has been chosen after great research on geographical, economical infrastructural, cultural and various other factors,” NHSRCL’s said in another tweet.
The total length of proposed High-Speed Rail Corridor 508.17km and would pass through Maharashtra, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The 12 proposed stations are Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadia, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati, The NHSRCL is aiming August 2022 to complete the project.
