NCP Moves MLAs To Mumbai’s Hotel Renaissance; Claims Only Five Of Its MLAs Out Of Contact

Amidst the political upheaval in the State of Maharashtra, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) claimed yesterday (23 November) night that just five of its MLAs are out of its reach and contact, while all others have either reached Mumbai, or are on their way, reports Asian News International (ANI).

Sharing details with the media persons, party's spokesperson Nawab Malik said that six of the party's MLAs were about to reach Mumbai, while five are not in contact with the party. Meanwhile, it should be noted that the party has moved its MLAs who have reached Mumbai to the posh Renaissance Hotel.

Malik also expressed confidence that his party in a combined effort with Indian National Congress (INC) and Shiv Sena will be able to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led alliance comprising of rebel faction led by NCP's Ajit Pawar and several independent MLAs in the Speaker's election itself.

The developments come as the NCP led by veteran politician Sharad pawar received a major jolt after its senior leader Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy to BJP's Devendra Fadnavis who was sworn-in as Chief Minister (CM) of Maharashtra yesterday morning.
