Loose sand has been discovered around 200 feet underneath the surface of Ram Mandir construction side during the testing of its pillars.

Now, a new technique and approach will be taken for the building of the foundation of the temple, Hindustan Times reports.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Ram Mandir Construction Committee held a meeting for the same at New Delhi on Tuesday.

Anil Mishra, a member of the trust told the publication, “Engineers of Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consulting Engineers will suggest a new technique for constructing Ram Mandir’s foundation.”

The preparations for the formation of the Ram Mandir is gathering pace as recently it emerged that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will kick off a fund collection drive for the purpose too.

The trust authorised the organisation to undertake this responsibility and donations will be transparently collected from around 5,25,000 villages across the country from January 15, 2021 onward.
