Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Bengaluru Tech Summit, 2020 today (Nov 19) at 11 am via video conferencing.
Australian prime minister Scott Morrison, Swiss Confederation vice president Guy Parmelin and many other prominent international figures besides thought leaders, industry captains, technocrats, researchers, innovators, investors, policymakers and educators from India and abroad will be participating in the summit.
The Bengaluru Tech Summit, organised by the Government of Karnataka along with Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, Karnataka government's Vision Group on Information Technology, StartUp, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications, is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 21.
This year, the theme of the summit is "Next is Now". The summit will deliberate on the key challenges emerging in the post-pandemic world with focus on the impact of prominent technologies and innovations in the domains of ‘Information Technology & Electronics’ and ‘Biotechnology’.
C N Ashwath Narayan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Minister for IT, BT and S&T, who is the driving force behind BTS this year, said “We have made elaborate arrangements to make BTS a grant success as the event sessions are going 100% virtual,” said Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan after visiting the BTS2020 facilitating centre set up at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bengaluru.
