Led by Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday (21 February) rolled out a red carpet inviting political strategist Prashant Kishor to join the party if he wishes to, reports Hindustan Times.
Senior leader of the party and Member of Parliament (MP) Sanjay SIngh addressing media persons said, "If Prashant Kishor Ji wants to join us, we have no objection. Now it is his decision whether to come or not."
The development comes merely weeks after AAP returned to power for a successive term of five years in Delhi backed by Kishor's Indian-PAC which handled CM Kejriwal's election campaign.
Also, it should be noted that Kishor was expelled from Janata Dal United (JDU) last month after he spoke out against the party's leadership and condemned the party's support to Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
