MEA spokesperson Gopal Baglay (ANI)
The Government of India said today (13 July) that it doesn’t want a third country intervening to help improve India-Pakistan relations over the Kashmir issue, adding that its stand on resolving issues through a bilateral framework has not changed.
The remarks came in response to China’s offer that it is ready to play a constructive role in improving ties between both the nations.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay clearly stated that the primary reason behind the India-Pakistan conflict is the cross-border terrorism emanating from “other side”.
Beijing had earlier stated that the India-Pakistan conflict was creating instability and hindering peace in the region.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have been on the rise with ceasefire violations and cross-border terrorism from the latter.
