Poster warning non-left professors (Pic via Abhinav Prakash)
JNU protesters who have mobilised in large numbers, today (10 January) launched a campaign threatening non-left professors of the University by pasting slanderous posters against them with a warning that, “Nothing will be forgotten, nothing will be forgiven”.
Here is the controversial poster in question.
Delhi University Professor and JNU alumni Abhinav Prakash who too was included on that “list” called it a handiwork of the left led JNUSU which doesn’t like him for countering their narrative. He added that such slander and fake allegations may result in legal action.
He thus requested the Delhi police to take note of such poster which are threatening violence and inciting harm, and take action against those responsible.
Incidentally, Professor Prakasha Sahoo who is the second name on the “list” had earlier made frantic calls to the cops when hostels were being vandalised and all the four professors being targeted via the poster do not belong to the left wing ideology.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
