UPSC aspirants appearing for exam (Yogendra Kumar/Hindustan Times)
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday (19 February) released the notification for this year’s civil services examinations, reports Hindustan Times.
A total of 896 vacancies have been announced in the notification, including 39 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
To be eligible, a candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not exceed the age of 32 years on 1 August 2019. Also, the candidate must hold a degree via any government recognised University.
The application form is available at UPSC’s official website. As per the notification, the last date of application is 18 March.
Candidates successfully clearing this examination would be eligible for 24 different services like Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Revenue Services (IRS) and others.
The prelims will be conducted on 2 June and the Mains on 20 September.
