Odisha coronavirus update
The Covid-19 tally in Odisha saw the addition of 225 more cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of positive cases in the state to 3,723, said the state health department on Saturday (13 June).
As many as ten people have died in the state so far due to the Coronavirus.
Currently, Odisha has 1,236 active cases while 2,474 people have recovered from the disease.
Of the total cases, the highest 678 Covid-19 positive cases have been found in Ganjam district, followed by 334 infections in Khurdha, 329 in Jajpur, 311 in Cuttack, 204 in Balasore, 175 in Kendrapada,157 in Bhadrak, 148 in Puri, 143 in Jagatsinghpur,141 in Balangir, 123 in Sundergarh, 108 in Nayagarh, 108 in Mayurbhanj, 84 in Gajapati, 74 in Nuapada, 67 in Kandhamal and 59 in Keonjhar.
Other districts that have reported 50 or less cases include Dhenkanal (49), Kalahandi (41), Deogarh (40), Angul (40), Boudh (38), Sonepur (29), Malkangiri (25), Sambalpur (23), Baragarh (18), Koraput (17), Jharsuguda (15), Rayagada (7) and Nawarangpur (2).
Meanwhile, 136 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) personnel, who had returned to Odisha following Cyclone Amphan restoration work, have also tested positive for the infection in the state.
