Odisha coronavirus update
The Covid-19 tally in Odisha saw the addition of 174 more cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of positive cases in the state to 4,512, the state health department said on Thursday (18 June).
As many as eleven people have died in the state so far due to the Coronavirus.
Currently, Odisha has 1,451 active cases while 3,047 people have recovered from the disease.
Of the total cases, the highest 755 Covid-19 positive cases have been found in Ganjam district, followed by 404 infections in Khurdha, 350 in Jajpur, 346 in Cuttack, 256 in Balasore, 204 in Puri,193 in Kendrapada,180 in Bhadrak, 174 in Jagatsinghpur,163 in Gajapati,148 in Balangir,147 in Kandhamal,140 in Sundergarh, 126 in Mayurbhanj, 112 in Nayagarh, 80 in Keonjhar, 79 in Nuapada, 64 in Kalahandi and 52 in Dhenkanal.
Other districts that have reported 50 or less cases include Baragarh (50), Malkangiri (48), Angul (48), Deogarh (40), Boudh (40), Sonepur (31), Sambalpur (24), Koraput (23), Jharsuguda (19), Rayagada (12) and Nawarangpur (9).
Meanwhile, 195 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and Odisha Fire Service personnel, who had returned to Odisha following Cyclone Amphan restoration work, have also tested positive for the infection in the state.
