On Eid, Terrorists Mercilessly Kill Policemen In Front Of Their Children In J&K

Three Jammu and Kashmir policemen were killed on Wednesday (22 August) by terrorists, Indian Express has reported. Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Yaqoob Shah were the three policemen who were gunned down by the terrorists on Eid. Ahmad Shah hailed from Zazripora Kulgam, Yaqoob Shah belonged to Loswani, and inspector Ashraf Dar lived in Pulwama.
“As he stopped at a stall, three men, two wearing masks, asked him to get into their car. He resisted, they held him by the nape of his neck and tried to bundle him into the car. He pushed his daughter into the crowd towards me. They shot him in the leg so he would stop resisting and get in the car but when they could not, they pushed him to the ground and fired bullets at him killing him right there,” Bilal Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmed’s brother-in-law told Indian Express. Ahmed had gone to the local Eidgah to get his daughter a gift. The policeman was murdered at 8.30 am.
Mohammad Yaqoob Shah was killed by terrorists while leaving from his house for work. His family members said that a group of terrorists came in a car and rained bullets into him at around 5.30 PM. Later in the night, at 8.30 PM Mohammad Ashraf Dar was killed in front of his daughter and wife in Pulwama.
“Three lives were lost in an act of terror. These incidents show the terrorists’ desperation. We are pursuing all these cases, and all culprits shall be brought before the law soon,” Inspector General Police, (Kashmir) SP Pani has been quoted as saying. 24 policemen have been killed by terrorists in the valley this year.
