Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while campaigning for the BJP in Delhi, said that Arvind Kejriwal’s recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa is just the beginning and soon AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi too will begin chanting Hanuman Chalisa.
“Currently just Arvind Kejriwal has started chanting the Hanuman Chalisa, wait and watch what will happen in the future, you will also see Owaisi reciting the Hanuman Chalisa”, Yogi Adityanath can be heard as saying.
Yogi Adityanath has been talking tough during the Delhi assembly campaign. He had recently asserted that Muslims who chose to stay back in India during partition did the country no favour.
When the interviewer said that Muslims participating in the anti-CAA protest at Shaheen Bagh belong to the families which decided not to go to a country (Pakistan) which was carved out on a religious basis during partition.
Yogi Adityanath in reply reportedly said that, “Inhone koi upkar nahin kiya. Inhone Bharat par koi upkar nahin kiya tha (They did no favour to India)“.
He has also accused the Kejriwal government of supporting the Shaheen Bagh protesters.
