Chief Minister of Kerala's communist government, Pinarayi Vijayan, has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not permitting the state's ministers to raise funds from abroad for rehabilitation of the state after the deluge in August 2018, reports Times Now News.
Earlier, a cabinet meeting held in the state had decided to send almost the entire Kerala cabinet led by the Chief Minister to foreign countries seeking funds for rebuilding Kerala, after unprecedented floods caused widespread devastation in the state.
The criticism by Vijayan comes amid massive protests against his government in handling the Sabarimala crisis. The Opposition, BJP and several other political and non-political organisations have slammed the Communist government for its ruthless suppression of peaceful protests staged by devotees.
