Pakistan Bans Former ISI Chief, Who Wrote A Book With Former RAW Chief, From Leaving Country

Pakistan has banned former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Asad Durrani, who has written a book with former Research and Analysis Wing chief Amarjit Singh Dulat, from leaving the country, Times of India has reported.
The Pakistan Army had summoned Durrani to its headquarters in Rawalpindi last week over what it said was a violation of the military code of conduct.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the propaganda wing of the Pakistan Army, a committee of inquiry has been set up to look into the violation.
In the book, which is titled 'Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace', Durrani has alleged that former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani was fully on board in the operation against Osama bin Laden by the US in Abbottabad.
“The ISI probably learnt about OBL (Osama bin Laden) and he was handed over to the United States according to a mutually agreed process,” Durrani wrote.
“The denial of any (Pakistani) role was because cooperating with the United States to eliminate a person regarded by many in Pakistan as a “hero” could have embarrassed the government,” Durrani said in the book.
He has also said in the book that Pakistan mishandled the case of Kulbushan Jadhav and claimed that he would eventually be handed over to India.
