Pakistan: College Student Kills Professor For Violating ‘Islamic Teaching’ By Allowing Girls In Fresher Party

Police have taken a Pakistani college student into custody after he stabbed his professor to death, ostensibly for holding a mixed-gender reception for students at a government college in the city of Bahawalpur in Punjab, Pakistan, reports Business Standard.
Professor Khalid Hameed was murdered yesterday (20 March) on Sadiq Egerton College’s campus by the accused student.
"The professor had organised a gender mix reception for the new students and the event was supposed to take place tomorrow, on Thursday," stated a police official.
As per AFP, the police report of the case mentioned that the student had accused the professor of ‘spreading obscenity’ while carrying out the attack.
"The gender mix reception is against the teachings of Islam and I had warned him to stop it," said the student.
The slain professor’s son, Waleed Khan, was with him when the attack occurred; he narrated how the attacker had been waiting for his father to reach his office.
"As my father was about to step into his office, the guy attacked him with a knife, hitting him at his head and stomach," he told AFP.
