Indian HC to Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria. (via Twitter)
Pakistan on Monday (5 August) summoned the Indian envoy to the nation, Ajay Bisaria to lodge strong condemnation of the move by the Indian government to scrap Article 370 which gave special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir against the other states and Union Territories of India, reports Hindustan Times.
The Pakistani Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood protested against Union government's decision to bifurcate the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehmood pressed on India through Bisaria to halt and reverse its 'unlawful' and 'destabilising' actions and refrain from further action that could entail serious implications.
Earlier in the day Pakistan had also remarked that it would use all options at its disposal to counter the 'illegal' steps taken by India. “India is playing a very dangerous game by changing the status of Kashmir through illegal acts,” said Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
