A plea seeking court-monitored probe into the breach in PM Modi's security in Punjab has been filed before the Supreme Court.

The major security lapse happened on Wednesday when PM Modi's convoy was stuck on a flyover at Hussainiwala after some protesters blocked the road.

Senior Advocate Maninder Singh mentioned the plea, filed by an organisation Lawyers Voice, Chief Justice of India (CJI) N V Ramana who agreed to hear it tomorrow.

"It has to be ensured that it’s not be repeated. This writ petition has to be taken up," Singh was quoted in a Bar and Bench report as saying.

"What can we do?" asked Chief Justice Ramana.

"We don't want reoccurrence, so that this kind of breach doesn't take place again..there needs to be an enquiry into the bandobast under court monitored probe," Singh said.

"We will hear tomorrow," the CJI responded.

The plea also sought suspension of Chief Secretary of Punjab, Anirudh Tewari and Director General of Police, Sidharth Chattopadhyaya.
